The Bridges

Hello Again!

One of the things that we missed when we left Scotland was the completion of the new Forth bridge. It felt like they were just inches away from completing it when we drove to the airport. Well, it’s all done now, and I’ve got some pictures to prove it!

I was picked up at the airport by an old friend, Dean Norby. Dean is a priest here. As we approached the bridge, I surprise him by pulling out my phone and filming the trip across. I told him how we hadn’t been able to see it before we left, and that I thought you guys would like a peek. So here you go. A video of the bridge crossing…..

But that’s not all. When Alex was visiting with me, and when I was taking him back to the airport, we got to see all the bridges at night. They were really beautiful. So I went back and spent a good 3 hours photographing them. Take a look at these. I wonder if Joshua remembers the big, red, rail bridge….?

These bridges are amazing! It was fun when trains went by while I was taking the pictures. Some of them have long white streaks because of the lights from the train. I also really like how the orange light from the Rail Bridge and the blue light from the new road bridge (called Queensferry Crossing) look like their competing to take over the sky.

Anyway, that’s all I have to say about bridges. I love you guys! It was great to talk to you this morning (your morning, my night).

I’ll write another one in a little while.

Good night!
